TECHNICAL FEATURES

ACTIVE 360° COLLISION AVOIDANCE

Perform safe close range inspection flights thanks to the 360° collision avoidance functionality. When enabled, the drone actively avoids flying into an object. The pilot remains in control to steer the drone in any other direction.

ACCURATE 3D NAVIGATION

The Airobot Pilot enables any drone to perform complex three-dimensional flight patterns, e.g. to repetitively scan a building, wind turbine or other infrastructure.

SENSOR FUSION

The Pilot can fuse measurements from Airobot’s proprietary ultrasonic sensors and LIDAR sensors. The ultrasonic sensors will guarantee the detection of any object close to the drone while the LIDAR can be used to avoid obstacles further away.

ADVANCED RTK GNSS TECHNOLOGY

The field proven GNSS module supports GPS, GLONASS and optionally also BEIDOU and GALILEO for optimal performance and is robust against GPS jamming. The Pilot can use corrections from the Airobot basestation, but also from your own RTK basestation or from any RTK network.

SAFETY & RELIABILITY

Drones used near critical infrastructure should be designed according to aviation safety & reliability principles. The Pilot uses 2 separate processors (one for realtime flight control and one for sensor & payload control) to ensure a 100% safe flight, even in case of a software error. It also includes an embedded hardware failsafe mechanism

COMPATIBLE WITH ANY AUTOPILOT

The Airobot Pilot can be used with most popular brands of autopilot: DJI, Pixhawk, Microkopter, Micropilot… It supports the Hott, PWM, PPM, SBUS, Spektrum and DBUS protocols so there is no need to change a line of code in the autopilot.
